Hello Blog.

I havent blogged in a while since being swamped with exams and then not at home and then being busy all week so I figured I have some serious blogging to do. So the past few classes we have been talking about art. Good art versus bad art, what is art? etc. I think with visual art it is difficult because it so open to interpretation and everyone is going to have different opinions, but something that really grinds my gears is the whole name thing. When you see a work of art and you dont know who its by I think that is better because than prejudices dont influence your judgement. So many people will say ohh that isnt very good and then they find out it is a Picasso for example and then they are like ohhh I didnt mean that, it is good! But do they really think the art is good? No. They think that it must be good, if it is by someone famous. It is kind of like tht with music and theatre too, but I think it is easier to tell what is good and what is bad with those. If someone is a bad actor or singer you can tell right away. And if a composition is bad, you can tell based on the music, if the chords arent even chords and if there is no sense of rythym, it is bad music and that is that, much easier to distinguish than visual art.
That is all for now.
TTFN... Ta ta for now.
